Counselors: Are Current College Soccer Players & Reading Rage Alumni!

1. Technical & Tactical Soccer Training

Players will be grouped upon age and ability. Throughout the week players will undergo immense training on technical & tactical aspects of the game. Players will be training up to 3 times a day (morning, afternoon, night), during each session all different topics will be covered:

Technical:

Ball control, 1v1 skills, turning with the ball, passing & receiving and finishing

Tactical:

Decision making, developing play from the backfield, positional awareness, when and where to take “risks” etc.

2. Speed, Agility & Strength Conditioning:

Soccer players are some of the most highly trained athletes in the world. Each day of camp players will have a 30 minute session on basic speed, strength conditioning and flexibility. Players will be provided the knowledge of becoming a better athlete through physical training which focuses highly on core strength training to improve their speed, agility and flexibility.

3. Nutrition Wellness

The first day of camp players will have a course on nutrition & wellness. The knowledge provided during the course goes beyond the week of training. Players will be given examples of a professional soccer player’s lifestyle. Players will be challenged to live this lifestyle for the next 5 days as they embark on their 5 days of pre-season training.

4. Team Building:
This is a unique opportunity for our club teams to stay overnight in the Kutztown University dorms. It is a great opportunity for our players to get to know one another and build team chemistry. Coaches will also test teams communication, cooperation and trust each day as we incorporate team building activities.
